Back in 1998, some project management folks had a pretty simple idea - people learn best when they're actually doing stuff, not just reading about it. So they started Simulation Powered Learning with one basic PC simulation. Fast forward to today, and we've got multiple cloud-based simulations running - quite the journey from those early days!

Jesse Freese

Instructor for Hybrid Project Management Fundamentals, Advanced Project Management, Project Risk Management, and Project Controller.
Jesse Freese is a seasoned project management trainer who has led simulation-powered workshops for over 12,000 students, serving clients such as the U.S. Navy, Army, FAA, and Lockheed Martin. Known for his engaging, story-driven presentations on project, leadership, and change management, he has spoken at numerous PMI events. Prior to training, Jesse spent 17 years in software development, managing major government projects. A former PMP and PMI member, he is also a founding member of TwinSPIN.
Sean Park

Sean is a certified project and agile management professional with advanced degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and multiple industry certifications (PMP, ACP, CSP, CSM, Project+). He has provided project, program, and agile consulting services to clients including the U.S. Navy, Army, Illumina, and HP. A Navy veteran, Sean is committed to mentoring others in project management. He served as VP of Professional Development for PMI San Diego, educating hundreds of students, and is active in veteran and alumni organizations.
Bill Johnson

Bill is an experienced project management educator and consultant, teaching courses—including Microsoft Project—for business clients, the U.S. Navy, PMI events, and graduate students. He serves as Program Director and Associate Professor for the PMI-GAC accredited M.S. in Project Management at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. With 12 years of prior project management experience, he is also a recipient of PMI’s 2008 Gaylord E. Christle Award. Bill emphasizes collaborative, engaging, and team-based learning in the classroom.
Kathleen Hedges

Kathleen Hedges is a highly experienced program management consultant and leader, known for improving operational and financial performance for government and commercial clients. Her expertise includes PMO setup, KPI and EVMS development, training design, leadership mentoring, and strategic planning. She teaches at UC San Diego and Defense Acquisition University. At SAIC, she built a scalable program management structure and led major event projects, including national conventions and Olympic security. Kathleen holds an MBA, PMP certification, and has been recognized as one of PMI’s “25 Influential Women in Project Management.”
