The Agile Scrum Overview is a 4 hour introduction seminar to Agile and Scrum. It provides a high-level overview of Agile and Scrum including the Agile and Scrum team, tools, practices, risks, roadblocks, and the business value of implementing Agile. Agile techniques improve the quality of systems, the efficiency by which systems are developed, the frequency of delivering value to the customer and ultimately the customer’s satisfaction.

Below is the Scrum based Agile project cadence. You will leave the workshop with an understanding of how a team-based Agile project works.

The Agile Scrum Overview seminar begins by laying a foundation in best practice Scrum based Agile methodology using lecture, discussions, questions and exercises.  This foundation provides the working knowledge and terminology necessary to understand a team-based Agile project. Students will understand the history of agile, the importance of “being” as well as “doing” agile, the vocabulary to discuss the benefits of agile and how to get started using Agile.
